MAXII tires?

Hey guys, I desperately need to get new tires on my MaxII before Duck Season. Yes I will be swimming with them but not an extreme neccessity. I have a trolling motor mounted on the back of the beast. I currently have 22x11x8 RawhideIII on it but as we all know, they have stopped making them.....


Any suggestions on tires to purchase? I will be keeping my 8" rim so something in a 22x11x8 or 21x11x8 would be ideal..... Anyone have any ideas what would be a good tire to get?

I've never heard of that place before, but that sure is a good price for those tires.

Like Robbie said, you could always call Recreatives and get a price from them too.

i checked out that place and price. it would be about $120 to ship six to my house in NC. that pretty much makes up the price difference in just buying them for more money from a local tire store it is a great price and if your shipping quote comes in a lot lower you would be doing pretty good!

Yea it would be $399.76 for 6 without tax to be shipped here in Arkansas. I would rather pay $480.00 to Richard to get them.

How much are they at Recreative Industries? Also, anyone got any contact information from them?

well carlisle stopped making the power tracII i already tried to find them why dont you look into the carlisle AT101 they have the same tread pattern as the powertrac and they swim really well (i have a set on my maxII) but they only come in 21.11-8

I actually got some MudLites for about $50/tire. WOW What a price!

Those tires look nice on your machine. Unfortunately they don't really swim. The guys up at Recreatives tried them on a Max II and 6x6world member Meinfield had the 26's on his Hustler 980 BIGFOOT. I thought that I heard if you just let the machine idle it will move a very little bit in the water, but other than that, no luck. But on the upside, they are excellent in the mud.

24" Carlisle power track for a MaxII

If anyone out there is willing to run a 12" rim on a MaxII the 24" Carlisle AT 101 Chevron would be an excellent choice. It is the same design as the 21" Goodyear Rawhide which is an excelent swimmer. This tire would give a
MaxII good ground clearance,excellent swim speed and good mudding ability. The tire weighs 21 pounds so you would be looking at 33 pounds per a tire on a 12" rim. Would be interesting to see the results.

I thought about 12" k locks for my argo, years ago when looking for taller tires. With a titan tru power, 23x9?x12 I think.. tread was like the 26" max IV tires. Would have made a good mud hole tire.. a lot of weight and some loss of floatation going from 8/9" to 12".

A set of used frontier tires on argo wheels, might not be that easy to find, but that's what I'd put on a II. Maybe some wheel spacers. Light 8" wheel, tall tire with a lot of "suspension travel", best ride, best water speed, great in mud, sand. I'd gear the II down for slow trail riding. Or with enough HP, leave it and enjoy the speed increase.

Dan, That sure would be cool to see these 24's on a Max II. I think the only thing they would lack is a soft ride. They would certainly raise the Max up and give excellent water speed. So who's going to try it?

They swim good! IN REVERSE! HA. I need to turn them around. They worked good in reverse and great in the mud. I went through places that my wife's cousin got his Polaris 700 Ranger side-by-side stuck! Infact... Here is the picture. His silly friend girl is holding down the ranger. lol

My ole Max II went right on through that mud with no problem! HAHAHA Suckers! OH BTW... Those are 29" tires with a 3" suspension lift. So yea... It was burried. LOL
