i dont know if this has been gone over yet but right now i have trailer tires on my gip-sea they are pretty much just smaller car tires and it has a hard time turning i was wondering if knobby tires would work better i found a place where i can get them cheap i cant get through much with the tires i have now but i heard that its hard to turn with knobbys on them but would it be better than the tires i have now that have complete tread? and im not worried about how it would swim i know knobbys dont swim. any help would be great
on our mechines you have to have a tire that will skid steer . and slip when you turn if they grab you will flip it over . if you are going fast . that's why we use the carlise at101 goodyear raw hide3 and the 26 goodyear terra tire robbie
1999 max 2 18 b&s 22 tires custom . new max iv 23 k 26 i/n tires brown . ht cable promark winch . new toy 1972 attex st400 400ccjlo and she will be bad . ( the frog ) if it don't float with out you getting wet . don't bring it ! R.I.P sage rogers 4 11 09 . you can't fix stuped !!!!! raceone 3 .)
They're okay for loose dirt but, don't slide as well when turning compared to a V tread. I do know some people who swear by them for racing but, i would use them on a longer wheel base machine or springer for that purpose - may just be the extra grip you need to roll it over on the track.
i dont go too fast and the majority of the time i am trying to turn is when moving slow on dirt and mud. i was just wondering if it would be easier to turn with the tires i have now or with knobbies i would like to get chevron type tires but they are pretty expensive for me. plus the tires i have now are really rough riding even with about three psi they dont have much give to them.
