  • Carlisle 'Mud Wolf' tires on 12" rim?

These new tires from Carlisle look like they'd be GREAT for mudding. Not so much for swimming though (maybe the MudWolf XL's with the taller lugs?). They caught my eye because of the aggressive tread pattern and outstanding sidebiting lug setup for scrambling over rocks and sidehill climbing ability. They also appear to have a somewhat taller sidewall that the Goodyear TerraGrips normally found on 12" Max rims, but that could just be the pic.

So, anyone have these (26"x12"x12") on there AATV??

Too bad they don't make them in a 26"x12"x9" version. Dang!

Hmmm... I never even considered the potential problem of TOO much lateral traction! Wouldn't you have to be going pretty fast for that to be an issue? Since the Mud Wolf apparently isn't made in a 9" rim version any time soon I suppose it really won't matter. Dammit.

Well... perhaps I can at least pick up a pair in 25x8-12 to pimp out my Rokon TrailBreaker. Heh Heh Heh
