Whats the best tire and wheel combo for a Max IV

Based on the many things that you desire in a tire,,the Good Year " Terra " tire , on a 12 inch , bead lock rim , that is optional from the factory on a Max IV, is what you need. The Terra tire will do all of the things that you mentioned pretty well. Concering water speed, the ASX tires won,t even come close to the water speed of a Terra tire. I,d even venture to say that the Good Year,Terra tire is probably twice as fast as the ASX tire in the water.

I JUST WATCHED A YOUTUBE VIDEO ABOUT THE 2009 6X6WORLD MEET IN NC, AND I SAW A MAX IV( BUCKET SEAT) WITH VAMPIRE ASX 26 INCH TIRES. A GIRL WAS DRIVING IT AND SHE WAS ABLE TO GO THRU EVERYTHING THEY WERE AWSOME. I AM FOR SURE GONNA LOOK INTO THOSE FOR MY MAX IV. WATCH THE VIDEO IT WAS GREAT GOOD LUCK.

Sorry, that almost sounds like an insult...

Anyways that Max sounds like Jennifer/Mikes aka administrator. Very sweet machine. Mike did a lot of work to it. Awesome machine as you saw. Here is the max build thread mid engine Max IV

The ASX tires are oustanding in the mud ,and give about 2 mph in the water I,d assume. If water speed is not the top priority for your amphibious adventures , then the ASX tire would be my top choice. But , keep in mind though, that the ASX tire is no longer being made now, but the interco sales rep told me that they,ll probably start producing them again in a few months.
