  • Duro Mud and Sand Tires?

    Hello,
I just picked up a 1985 Argo 8x8 in Edmonton Alberta.
    First time with an AATV!!
Got a good price I think at $850 CAD or $798 USD.
Put in a new plug and runs great.
Has a 16HP Tecumseh with overhead valves.
Came with a winch, new clutch, new starter and a full convertible cab.
I need new tires and would like to know if anyone has tried Duro Mud and Sand tires on their Argo?? $40 a piece!!
Looking forward to tapping all the knowledge on this site.
I will take some pics and post on the weekend if I can.

    Regards, Randy

the duro mud and sand will hardly swim. you will be able to move in the water, but just barely. i just put these on a machine and have had really good luck with them AG BAR LUG R1 HF255 :: AG BAR LUG R1 :: BAR LUG R1 :: DURO :: BAR LUG & TRENCHER TIRES :: TIRES :: Cedar Rapids Tire

they swim really well. i run the front tires with the V down for better mud traction, and the rear and center turned so they will swim. if you put all 6 in swimming direction you could get a little better water speed, but i like to get out the other side of the lake. that site also has the jackyl for a pretty good price, and i'm hearing that they swim well also.
