  • wheels and tires

Hey where's the best place to get wheels and tires? my 1984 max2 has the odd 12inch rims. I want to go with smaller rims what is the best size to go with? Thank's

Will the bolt pattern on 8 inch rims fit? That is the current size.recreatives Industries would have rims as does Richard Clark of Route 6x6.Around $40 I think.

Your best bet would be to get 8" rims......they're the most common and very easy to find. The tires will ride a lot better too since they're not mounted on a 12" wheel. Also, the 5x4.5" bolt pattern is pretty much universal when it comes to 6 wheeler hubs so you will have no problems there. Good luck with it.

I believe 8" is the standard width too. If you plan on running very low tire pressure on the trails it would be a good idea to use K-lock beadlock type wheels that come standard on the newer Max 6 wheelers. But if not, any 8"x8" rim would work fine for you. I've even heard of people using 8"x7" rims from Tractor Supply.
