  • Tire pressure on the Chevron 101

I just got new Chevron 101 tires and was wondering what tire pressure everyone else is using in them. It seems that running 3-5 pounds seems like it's not enough and which way are you running the tread?

I tried running my AT101's with the v down for mud. It seemed like it didnt want to swim at all, so I switched them. Still swims slow. I didnt give them a long enough chance to see which was better in the mud, but I doubt there is a difference. I started out running about 6-7 psi and quickly realized it rode too rough. I went to 2 psi, much, much, much better. I just worry about needing bead lock rims at that low of a pressure. I rode for a couple hours yesterday and had no problems.

I had mine at 7 psi and two came off the rims in the first 5 miles.

with 101s you almost need k-lock rims to hold them on I have the same tires on k-locks and I run them with 1.5 psi with no problem the k-locks help alot on holding the bead.
