  • Replacing Max Tires

What is a good 21 or 22" tire for a Max, I need to replace all 6 my rims are good. The orignal tires are no longer available at a good price. Does any one have any idea what would be a good replacement tire for all around use and not cost to much.

The 22" Goodyear Rawhide III is a great tire if you can find some.

Thats the problem I can not find just the tire I can get them with the tire and wheel for $ 160 but I just want to get some tires only. I do not want to buy the rims too.
Any idea who makes tires that work well on the Max II besides the goodyear tires that are not being made anymore.
      Thanks for the reply.

Cheng Shin makes a tire called the Jackal C868. It is a 22x11x8 I believe and it somewhat resembles the Rawhide III. I think someone 6x6World members tried this tire on their machines, but I can't remember their reviews of it. Here's a pic.

          Thanks nice price too.
Hey has anyone tried the above tires? do they swim?

They look like a nice size lug on them.

Richards relices has some rawhide III copy tires that look exactly like goodyears. Has anyone tried them? The price isn't to bad.

After some looking around, some 6x6World members have tried the Jackal tires and they do swim. http://www.6x6world.com/forums/tire-...ill-see-3.html

I believe you're thinking of the 21" Rawhide copy that Richard Clark sells. Unfortunately there are no tires that look like the 22" Goodyear Rawhide III's. I wouldn't get those because they're not as tall of a tire as the 22's, the tread depth isn't as deep, they're a very hard riding tire, and they won't last as long as other tires out there.
