  • 9" Wheel Options?

I'm sure this has been asked before, But one more time. Have a 96 conquest and it has 8 inch tires. My question is where would I get 9 in. rims to fit it. I seem to find good deals on 9 inch tires and I figure if I had both sizes I would be covered.

Mudd Ox sells 9" wheels, but from what I've heard nobody has been getting any phone calls or emails returned back after they contact them.

I have 9" wheels on a Response. One's a mudd ox wheel which is far superior to argo's and a lot less $. Question is though, I havn't found a 9" tire that swims well enough to call it a swimmer, and the problem is finding a 9" tire that is short enough to fit the conquest, has to be at most around 23.5/23.75 dia.

I have kenda dirt dogs 25-12-9, they are as tall as you can fit, almost touch each other.. they will if you air to 3 psi. They make the 8x8 float very high and stable and are a big improvement over the runamuks except swimming. The wheels and tires are probably a 100 lbs heavier than stock.

I wouldn't put any 9" wheels on it other than mudd ox, because the tires won't stay mounted at low psi. I'm guessing you have tracks, and want the runamuks for that. Otherwise, I'd buy the argo 24" frontier tires and mount on your 8" wheels, or get frontier tires and wheels. Yes, they are expensive.. so is buying 8 tires and wheels in 9" that don't swim well.

I've been looking too as I see good deals on RawhideIIIs that would work for my Hustler if I had 9" wheels. I also tried to contact Mudd Ox to no avail.
