  • 25" Goodyear Rawhide III's $52!

I was doing some research on the 25" Goodyear Rawhide III tires. I know that there are some people with standard Hustlers like the 930 that want to run the biggest tire possible on their rig, and forum member Jerseybigfoot did this his and it looks great. Max IV's used to come with these tires from the factory and I know they are a pretty sought after tire for the Max IV and RIM 6x6 guys since they offer all of the bennefits of the 22" Rawhide III plus much more ground clearance. Also, there are many Argo people out there that have these tires stock on their rigs. I just wanted to pass along this link to anyone that wants to run the 25" Rawhide III at a great price. This place actually charges only $52 for the 25" Rawhide III, which is less than what they are selling the 22's for. Take a look.

Good find JP...and their shipping is very cheap, 17.90 for each two tires.
    Hammers should have warning labels.

Mike, I think you might need a set of these for the RIM.

Sometimes the people on those help/order lines dont really know what they're talking about, unless Goodyear is actually discontinuing them. I have no clue why they would do that because they have a huge account with Ontario Drive and Gear who manufactures Argos. My friend's uncle is in R&D with Goodyear and I will ask him if they really are discontinuing the 25" Rawhide III or not. I'll post something up as soon as I find out.

Say it isn't so....hopefully that guy was clueless, because I called bike bandit last week, and also had Discount Tire check, and neither mentioned that....

Scott, every site that I have checked that carries them said that they're available and nowhere did it mention anything about being discontinued. I think the person from Bike Bandit that said that has no idea what he/she is talking about.

I heard that if you use some good 9" K lock rims that Matt Oxender sells, run the tires at 1 psi, use longer axles that put the tires farther outside of the body, and use some heat to bend the lower body up a little bit, it might be possible, but I would be concerned with them rubbing on the body when driving at higher speeds since the tires expand under acceleration. Just some things to consider.

Leave it to Tory to pull that off. (the max in photo above)

By the way, those rawhide AT's on Matt's wheels came off Jon Hoath's Bigfoot that Tory bought. Those tires on the Bigfoot in the infamous Haspin mud were very impressive.
