Has anyone ever tried the triangle shaped mattracks style tracks on a 6x6 maybe front and rear axle and skip middle? like this............ATV Tracks - MATTRACKS rubber track conversions systems for 4x4 vehicles

I have often wondered the same thing. I don't think it would give you the same flotation as the normal style of tracks, but the design may allow you to run a much taller size and give you much more ground clearance. You wouldn't be limited to a 25" tire to clear the lower tub/middle tire, you could run more like a 30" height based on the fact that the track drives at the top.
