  • Amphicat tires

Hi all New to the site and am needing some of your suggestions on tires. I have a 22 inch axel center on my 68 amphicat. So a 20x10x8 would be the size im looking for,My question is what tread pattern would you suggest? I still have the stock 3 bolt mount but will be changing it to a 4 bolt, A 277 2 stroke sachs, and #40 chains. Am wanting plenty of bite on land but still move across the water. Your suggestions please, THANKS

You could also go with a 21x11x8 tire. Just don't get one that is a very hard rubber compound because it'll be really hard on the 3/4" axles and the ABS body. If you could get some 21" Nankang Chevrons, those would be perfect because they're so soft. Unfortunately, they've been discontinued. You could get some 21" Goodyear Rawhides if you can find them and air them down, but they'd still be kind of a hard riding tires. Hmmmmm, I'm going to have to do some more thinking on this one.
