  • What width and offset wheels?

Ordered some Kenda K472 21X11-8 tires for a great price off ebay for my 79 8x8.
The question is now, which wheels to get?
Buggyman1 lead me to the mud-ox, now just wondering which width and offset...can't wait to get this on the ground and go fishing!!!
    thanks for the help guys!

Doug, Mudd Ox only uses 9" rims. You'll need 8" rims that are 8" wide. They have a 4/4 offset and the bolt pattern is 5x4.5". You can pick some up cheap from Tractor Supply (go online and sign up for their online newsletter and sales and you'll get a coupon for 10% off). Or you could call Recreatives Amphibious Six-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicles: MaxATVs - Call 1-800-255-2511 and get their 8" K lock rims which would hold the bead on much much better at low PSI.

      Thanks for the word jp!
I ordered the argo 8" x 8" wheels today from the dealer in Marshall. $40 a piece + shipping! The tires got here today, too! Gettin' closer...
I like the tires, they are the chevron (shevron?) style tread...should work well in tracks???
Saw a couple of 13" sets for sale, might have to snag a set! Wife's getting questiony!?!
I'll get some pics up when I get it all ready to hit the lakes!
Gotta work on a top now!
      later,

Glad to help. The 21" chevron style tires should work with the 13" plastic tracks as long as they're not too wide.....21x11x8 would be the ideal size to use with the tracks.
