Wow!! Can you imagnine the destruction those tires can do, not only to the terrain but to the ATV they are mounted on. My first thought was these have to be axle breakers.

You got that right! I can't imagine a 4 wheeler trying to run tires like these. Their axles are soooooo dinky and weak to start with, when you throw some of these tires on, it's game over for sure.

I saw quite a few quads at Busco last fall running tires that looked similar. There were lots of quads running tires that were easily 32-36" high. They were typically the same rigs running 6' snorkels with sound systems. I was really out of touch with the quad gang, I guess. I was astonished to see how people were customizing their machines.
In east Texas where the biggest atv mud national event is held ,,all major atv manufactors are there at this event promoting their own atv,s or products. Canam dominated the mud races at the last mud national event, and came in 1,2,3.. The top mud racers are now using longer frames to help keep the front end from lifting up in the mudda cross events. This is a figure 8 track with about 2-3 feet of water in it,with lots of soft mud underneath the water. This tire was made for atv,s with big engines, higher hp, and beefed up axles. It was designed to be heavier to help keep the atv from lifting up out of the water when racing .
Ya know, it makes sense for them to want a heavier tire for that, but a few years back I saw a clip of a quad, equipped with Mattracks, in the suicide hole that didn't make it 15 feet. But that would be different from the track you are talking about Dave, I wonder, was there any of the tracked quads there and how did they fare? If I remember right, the tracks were made more for a wider footprint on soft terrain, so the machine would stay on top. By putting a heavier tire on, they can keep better traction and maintain a faster speed, which is a departure from traditional "wheelie" approach.
I also notice a "flatter" angle on the lugs than you see on tires such as "Mud Machines" or "Silverbacks", less of a "V", maybe for more of a "paddle" effect. But DANG they are ugly!

And after he sunk all that money into his Rhino, he still can't go where you go in your AATV. Oh how I love amphibs!

I'll stick with my argo and argo tires. Most times you have look hard to see where I've been. I can get on private land where the landowners won't allow quads.
