Personally, I love the 24" Frontier tires from Argo, but if I was to recommend tires to you without more info, I would say go for the 22" Frontier tires. The 24" tires are a VERY tight fit, and as usual, not perfectly round. For these reasons, sometimes you will have to spend a fair bit of time juggling tires around to get them to fit without rubbing on each other

Carlisle AT-101 tires in 21x11-8 can be bought for about $50 each Carlisle Tire & Wheel Company
I would prefer the Argo frontier tires, but they are pricey. Just remember, when it comes to tires......bigger is better.....untill they rub.

20x11x8 are the original tire size that are on my 85, and I only need 2. If I was replacing all 8 I would have gone with the 22's

I won't know until the ice melts. Although the tires are the same size (numbers on the side wall) they don't even come close to being the same dia. and look kinda silly. Either I will over-inflate them to get closer or look for 8 tires all the same.

There is a fella on here from Waterloo that has 8 24" tires, I don't want to spend $800 and find out that they are too big to fit my 85 argo.

22x11x8 will fit fine. Do NOT put knobby tires on it, as it will not steer well, and not go in the water. If you can find a set of Runamuck tires, that would be the way to go. They don't look like they would grab anything, but if you still have the two-stroke engine in it, you'd be amazed! I would get the floatation tires, they don't have to be from Argo. I think Richard at Route 6x6 sells them, but not sure of the price. I'd see if someone here can help you out with some used ones before I'd go there though. IIRC they were expensive, but you do get what you pay for. The Runamuck tires have enough give that you will be happy to have them for some ride comfort.
