I just picked up a pair of machines and about a half dozen of the baloon tires had the valve stems out of them and I think they were stored outdoors. The tires to do look bad at all, but they all have water in them. Any thoughts on how to get the water out? I am betting I have to drill a hole and tap and then plug them...I just hate to do it! Tips?

Any tips on getting water out of Balloon Tires?

Take a small hose that will just fit into the valve stem hole (5/8"). Wrap duct tape around it on one end making a ball. Mate that up to your shop vac hose and duct tape it in place. You should be able to get almost all of it out that way. Refill with slime and enjoy the challenge of squeezing the new valve stem in place.

Buggymans idea seems great but I did it a little different with mine. I put a smaller hose(think it was 1/4" fuel line) in the valve stem so that it reaches the bottom of the tire. Then used the air nozzle and blew air inside the valve stem hole but not in the hose. The pressure in the tire will pump it out. If you don't have a small enough hose I bet if you had a hose that would seal the valve stem hole up you could put the hose in and push on the tire to squeeze air out or maybe even fill it up with light pressure through the hose and when you let off the hose the pressure will leak out but with the hose being in the water it would pump the water out.

get a 4' piece of CLEAR 1/4" hose. set the tire up on a table/ workbench/ tailgate. block it up so that it is in the same position it would be on the machine, and with the valve stem hole at the 6 o-clock position. cut one end of the hose at a 45 degree angle, and insert that end into the valve stem hole. push it in till you feel it hit the bottom of the tire. then suck on the other end of the hose until you create a siphon. walk away for a while and let it drainA well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

That brings up all kinds of images
Reminds me of the story about the gas thieves that mistook the holding tank for the gas tank.
