Found these tires for my $100 argo, about the best deal I could find on tires of the same size as the argo's, Want to put them on my 8x7 rims however I don't know for sure if they'll fit. Plan on using this thing mostly for dirt track/gravel but want something that can go into water if the need ever arises.

Don't know too much about tires accept how to burn rubber but I've been searching all day and couldnt find a better chevron style tire anywhere.

You might want to check out bar/lug trencher tires, they are chevron and I am pretty sure they swim.

Well, with the kind of tires you are looking at... don't expect to get anywhere in a hurry... Argos are fairly slow (2-3mph/4-5kph) in the water with there specially designed AT 189 Carlisle Argo tire, you'll be lucky to get 1mph (2kph) out of any of those tires. And for them to even be able to swim, they will have to be turned around backwards like there paddeling, not digging like on a 4x4. Just look at the GoodYear Rawhides, they were (when still in production and being used on the Argos) turned around backwards on the Argos. We had got the bright idea to turn them digging once... big mistake, it was terrible in the mud, it would just dig the machine everywhere and get it stuck on it's belly, and in water... with digging tires... forget about it, it didn't even move!

I have 4 rawhides, and I think that if I wanted to go in water seriously, id probably get an outboard or atleast some paddles.

My rawhides say bead lock rims only, however I heard you can use the rim above with the tire, is that true?
