  • Has anyone used or has feedback on the carlisle beadlock 5-lug rim for argo/ max?

I seen these Carlisle rims on ebay and they have a beadlock on them, and the price is much more reasonable than new argo.......anyone got thoughts on these? Thanks.

I thought at first that these where like the new ones that come with the HD axles but mine (9" wheels for HD upgrade) have an additional hole drilled for easy access to inner grease point. Bead lock looks good though and you could always drill a hole to make life easier if you wanted.

Matt's rims are 50.00 + shipping. You can run them with 1 psi in them and they will not pop the bead. Cougar

I was told the muddox rims are now $65, unless that includes some profit markup...........

Whatever I get, I'm boring a hole through for grease zerk access like Castro suggested. Thats a great idea.

That rim looks good and is probably produced from the same tooling as the argo rim, but the grease hole and the valve stem location would both have to be corrected to run on a late model argo with new style bearings. Im suprised that they would consider that an off road wheel with a valve stem hanging out of the edge of the wheel. Doubt that woul survive a trip off road. If you take a chance and try them i would at least instal a valve stem in the hole backwards to seal it off and then drill a new hole in a protected location then repaint them to prevent rust and future air leaks.

            Just my thoughts

I talked to the company who is selling these rims today. I believe they were produced for Argo or Max by carlisle.
My current rims have the valve stem in the same location and I have looked at a lot of photos of wheel
set ups and seen a buch just like that. I did not have any problem with the stem location.
Seems the newer argro rims are located more inside maybe older ones too. I can see why the concern though.
My max buff truck needs an upgrade and waiting for a package price with these rims and 25" rawhide III's.
