Yeah, rolling the edges is going to happen. For the leak, you may want to try some "Slime" in the tire. I had similar problems with tires and Slime stopped that completely.
My 8yr old daughter just looked over my shoulder and asked what I was reading, I told her that a guy wants to know how to prevent damaging his rims. She asked what he does that causes the damage. I didn't know( OP doesn't say). She said, tell him to stop doing whatever wrecked the rims.
So there we have it, the solution to all damaged rims, straight from the mouth of an 8yr old, lol.
She said, tell him to stop doing whatever wrecked the rims.
HA! I don't know if her wisdom comes from being 8 years old, or from being a woman. It seems to me that it's a combination of both. The ladies always seem to have a very practical way of approaching these things....
+1 for what hydromike said. And stopping what we're doing would be NO fun at all! lol
as for OP, some tires come with a "Rim Protector" lip on them...although..ive had these tires and sometimes the lip doesnt stop the damage, but alotta times they DO. but..finding the right size/type of tires u want is a whole other story. lol Just a thought
