  • Argo Frontier tires,where to get em???

    Hey guy's,first post but i know a bunch of ya. Been trying to stay focused on my atc 90's for a while now(you know me I'll soon have a 6 wheeler again).
    If you think flotation tires for 6 wheelers are hard to find try finding them for the early honda's. Finally someone has made a tire that I would love to use on my trikes. 8" rim with big diameter,soft and good tread pattern. I've been surfing and only found one place offering them at $125 each. Steep yes but they will last forever on a lightweight 3 wheeler. Is there anyplace else to get them?? What company is actually making them?

    Thanks alot and I love this new sight, Randy in Angola NY

    Argo Tires

    You MUST purchase them from an authorized ARGO dealer, for now, ODG is not letting anyone else to carry them.

      Hi Randy.....good to see you on the forum! You might want to take a look at the Maxxis 4 Snow tire. It looks very similar to the old Honda Ohtsu balloon tire tread. I hear they offer good traction and a super soft ride. Here is a picture of Tory G's Max II with these tires on it. Take a look on ebay right now......there are some good deals on these tires there.

        Hey JP, I'm gonna look into those,look like the old ohstu pro wedge tires.
        Thanks for the info. I'm surprised we've never bumped into each other somewhere along the way. Over the last few years I've sold a bunch of aatv's on ebay. They were mostly oddballs,if I can find something cheap thats worth putting together I'll get another. Really want a max4 or argo 8
        project. Have a bunch of kids and need room. I have some space here to ride
        and you are welcome to check it out sometime.Not a whole lot but enough to have fun on.

          Hey, Randy;

          Good to see you're doing well and still playing with your toys! I hope all's well with your family. I'm still assuming you're eventually going to realize the error in your ways, turn away from the trikes and come back to the amphib cult!

          I'd bet the Argo tires would do well on the Honda, but they're still a little on the pricey side- maybe they'll be released at a lower price sometime soon.

            Duro has some decent patterns. I used the hf 243's on my 8x8 and they worked great. And they are a 4 ply tire so thats a bonus. The price was very reasonable as well.

              Thanks for the input and I'll look into all those. I like the new argo meats because it's the first time you can get big diameter in an 8" rim,plus I love the tread and they are BIG AND GUSHYif anybody understands,you guy's do LOL.

              Don, I hope you and yours are doing as well as me and mine and thanks for asking. I never left the amphib cult,it's in the blood. Soon as I can afford it I'll take the plunge and get a nice argo or max4. Love the old weird stuff but sick of breaking every 10 minutes..

                Is this the 90NUT who in conjunction with FNZZZZ seem to out bid everyone for everything that goes up on eBay?
