Has anyone checked the bead on those rims? Being trailer tires, I'd be concerned with popping a tire off the bead the instant you ride a rutted out trail. You need a good bead lock when tires are at 2psi.

They're the same as the ones Richard sells, except much less expensive. If you do some hard trail riding at low PSI, the bead could come off, yes. If you're want the bead lock/K lock style you're going to have to spend more money on some Max wheels which you can from directly from Recreatives. Thanks for the heads-up! Do you have these mounted yet, and if so how do you like them so far? I know I'm gonna hafta wait awhileas I have the GF moving in and need to put priority on some household upgrades (new kitchen flooring, primer & paint throughout rest of house, etc., etc. however, when income tax refund shows up next spring... Bingo!! (Sorry for hijacking this thread!)

Ok guys, I went against your advice and bought rims and tires from RC. Let me start by saying they were very courteous and professional, answering all my questions promptly. Here's why I went with them. I live in Canada. Tires from Argo are $200 each and that is with buddy discount. Tax us 13% plus an ecotax of 5$ a tire I think. That doesn't even include rims, which I need. To buy rims and tires separately, I would pay shipping twice and still have to get them mounted. All the money saved would add up pretty quickly in other costs. I had them sent to Niagara falls NY and my dad will bring them across on his way back from Florida this weekend. Able to declare 750$, I pay tax on the 30$ difference. Really not that bad, all things considered. But in case any of you were wondering, hour meters are still on sale
