  • ITP Mud Lite

I've read probably every post in here about tires for the Argo. I can't find the size I need (22x11x8 for 6x6 Vanguard) nor can my tire dealer get Kenda 472 or Carlisle AT101 Chevrons which have been heavily suggested (in mostly older) posts.

Anyway, his vendor told him that they have been selling a lot of ITP Mud Lite's for Argo's. They look a lot like the Kenda Bear Claw which I've read on here doesn't swim a lick. Does anyone have experience with the ITP Mud Lite on an AATV? I'm not spending $163 a piece on "Argo Tires" and I've spent days looking for something and reading this forum.

    Any help is appreciated! Thanks

( QOUTE Ray Kolis ) I do a very large circle, it takes forever these tires are useless in the water, but over time and leaning you can make decent tight turns.

This is your answer. Ray Kolis is the only person on the forum that I know who has tested the 26" inch , ITP Mudlites in the water. He told me that the smaller Mudlites will hardly move in the water, but the 30" inch Mudlites will swim about 1.5 mph in the water because of their deeper side lugs that wrap farther around the side wall of the tire.

OK, so now I'm not so enthused about that tire. So, I'm back to square one. It seems everything I see recommended on here is no longer made or I can't get in a 22".

At $140 each the new Argo tires are quite expensive, but I bet you would be happy with them. Thats better than paying $80 each and not being happy.
Tires Talk to your local Argo dealer.

I called around and asked price quotes for the new 25" inch, Carlise tire from several Argo dealers in the US and the best price that I found was at Adair Argo sales. They have some really good deals on the Goodyear rawhides tires if any one is lookig for them.
