It's not all about the tire brand or model, some tires do better under a machine but are not so great under another.
i watched this vid and translated and their saying that those 26 terra tires are the fastest tires
they have ever seen and that the max IV is the best

Well i finally pulled the trigger! Very soon I will have 6, 26x12x12 Mudbug tires made by Maxxis. I've done my research, and for what they do in the mud, and climbing with a good clean out, surely makes up what they dont do in the water. Supposedly they swim better than Executioners, which was one of my top picks of tires. Unfortunately, I'm in the process of putting another engine in, installing a "RED" spring and also waiting on some big(low) gear sprockets and axle for my 980 Hustler, so I can't test them out right away. I should have everything done, hopefully in about 2-3 weeks if not sooner. I'll be sure to post a video and input to this thread.

That's a great choice for tires, Fred. I'm sure you'll be very happy with them. Looking forward to seeing them on the BIGFOOT!

Congrats on the tire choice, I don't think you did wrong. Now I can see how they do on your machine and help me decide what I want to put on my hustler.

Good choice on the mud bug tires that you recently ordered. If you're in thick mud and you think that you're stuck, spin the mud bug tires really fast and this will sling the mud off. In this video you'll see Tim driving an Argo Frontier with the older skid steer transmission in it and with 25" inch mud bug tires. In this video it looks like he's really stuck, but as soon as he spins the mud bug tires really fast , they sling off the mud and he's able to move again.

Thanks alot Mudbug3, you have to be one of the most knowledgeable amphib owners on the site with countless years of research and testing of tires. Man I do appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me and the rest of the boys!!!

Sure thing MG, I dont mind helping,,,, shoot, Mudbug gave me ton of info, and i dont mind spreading the wealth. Well i must say that my top choices were in no order:

                        EXECUTIONERS
                        MUDBUGS
                        ITP 589S
                        AMS SWAMP FOX PLUS
                        DIRT DEVIL
                        ASX VAMPIRES
                        GOODYEAR TERRA GRIPS
                        RAWHIDES
......... so for the type of riding that i do, considering sizing, water speed, mudding ability, clean out ability, ply, and price, the MUDBUG was my choice. The executioner and 589's were close. the ASX Vampire were on the top but are not made any longer and anyone who has them surely wont part with them. Besides, I like to be just a lil different sometimes!

Yesterday I started part one and two of cleaning the rims that will be in the MudBugs. They werent too bad, well, at least all of them werent that bad. The UPS guy named Nolan (who owns a high powered RAZR, soon to be converted int a 6x6 junkie like the rest of us) dropped them off but i was in the shower, so i had to track him down and throw 'em in the back of the Bronco. Can't wait to get the rims painted and the shoes on. Here are some pics.

Other members have tried the TSL ATV Super Swampers and they don't swim and they aren't as good in the mud as the Vampires.
