    Thanks, Keith.
Not to bad mouth my buddy JPSWIFT at all, but this past April at busco, I was following him in a deep ditch filled with water. Enough water to make the machines float, and i noticed that at or around the same rpm as JP, my Terras were about 3 times as fast as his ASX Vampires. No way is the Goodyear Terras as great in the mud as the ASX Vamps, but in the water, simply blows all the other competitors out of the water!!

I've recently outfitted my Hustler with Maxxis Mudbugs but I havent throughly water tested my Mudbugs yet (not counting a 3 minute ride in a pond by CBass's house), due to me rebuilding the engine in my machine, but i would say that they would be just as fast if not just a notch faster than the Vamps, but of course the Vamps are the best for the mud slinging. I feel like I made a great decision for the price, and where and how i ride my machine.

You're right, those Goodyear Terra Tires are one of the fastest tires in the water for our machines, Fred. You should have seen Drew move with his Attex in the water with his 21" Goodyear Rawhides. They're not that good in the mud, but the swim like a fish.

Diddo, the Terras are amongst the fastest in the water, but a lack-luster mud tire. The Terra is also on the list of roughest riding rubber.

What is interesting to me is they are not just a little faster than other tires in the water but like two to three times faster than other tires. I looked at them all day today on my Max IV and Just can't figure out why, but they are. And it seems the more air you but in them the faster they go. I have mine at 12 PSI and they fly in the water.

          Keith.

Hey I need a few photos from you if you don't mind. I sent you a pm. Thanks in advance

Well I recently had an opportunity to test the swimming capabilities of my Mudbug tires (26x12x12) on my Hustler. They were slow swimming but nonetheless they swim. During operation, Cbass (cory) informed me that another axle bolt was broken, well it was really my whole axle. I know, I know,,,, another one!! Also my 23hp Kohler is stuttering severely due to a bad ignition coil (after so many efforts to correct the issue). Here is the youtube link of the footage. Mudbugs Water Test - YouTube We also spotted a baby gator swimming in the pond with us!!

I watched the video, nice showing with the new tires, especially considering the mechanical issues. Its my opinion that the Mudbug is the finest all around tire still in production. They ride smoothly compared to the ASX tires, and are more forgiving on the bearings and axles. They really look great on that tall body 980 too.

Thanks alot Noel, I got alot of info on different tires and what not from Mudbug3. I growing to love the tire along with the redspring on the T-20. Once I get these few mechanical issues ironed out, I feel that my machine will be more than capable because of these tires.

Great video and very infomative on how the Mudbugs swim on your Hustler. Thanks for posting. I was waiting for you to rock your machine side to side a little so one side would come out of the water. I know with the AquaTorques on my Argo Bigfoot I could zig zag across the pond at a pretty good clip by leaning back and forth.

That was an outstanding video! Four big stars and two thumbs up. The 25 " inch Mud Bug tires did'nt swim that well on Brushcutter's Hustler 950, but they swim good enough for me for a really aggressive mud tire. The Mud Bug tires are exellent in the mud and shed mud pretty darn good too! I like that long custom air intake you made. My exhaust has a lot deeper tone with the long air intake runner that I made for my Argo Frontier.

That sure makes a difference in the water with the Aqua Torque tires.

Great suggestion, I'll be sure to remember that the next time I test and tune, which will probably be when I get another axle and two ignition coils. I'm waiting on the video of you rocking you Aquatorques. They look really mean on your Attex!!

Thanks buddy, I owe all to you!!

I had a really loud but deep exhaust that I fabbed up, but it didnt create enough back pressure. the exhaust I have now gave me about twice as much torque and is 4 times easier on my ears.

The 23hp Kohler came with the two peice filter and element that wouldn't clear the Hustler's engine cover, so I had to relocate it to the side. I got the hose from lowes for about 4 bucks a foot, about 2.75inch in diameter.

Im going to check out your pics, I kinda want to see your setup.

I was taught this trick by Tim (obsessed). I know there is a video of him using this technique in a yellow Argo Bigfoot with AquaTorques. You might be more interested in seeing a video of me in my new hustler 980 testing the Aquatorques. Oops, let the cat out of the bag on that one.

Well I'll need to pick it up in Jonesboro which will be a 10 hour drive for me. Jeff the seller of the Hustler is a really nice guy and is storing it for me until I can get free from work to grab it. I spent about two hours in the Max IV today on the lake in open water testing my bilge pump setup. I actually swung the deal for the Hustler while I was on the lake in the Max. I am running a set of Super Terra Grips and am amazed every time I go to the lake or river how fast they are. The Hustler has the same tires so when I get it I plan on videos of both and GPS for speed. Keep your eyes out for a full review in the near future now that the Max is sea worthy.

                                Keith.
