  • Largest tire for a MaxII?

I have the original Firestone flotation tires and am looking for replacements. Will be used for very little water crossing and some mud.I would like to keep a decent ride and not extremely bouney.Any pics of what you run or have seen is possible would be helpful.

Your best bet would be a 22x11x8 Goodyear Rawhide III. These tires give you excellent mud traction, a very smooth ride, and the still swim decent. You can pick them up for 40-someting dollars each. Take a look at www.tiresunlimited.com

What about these. They are made by AMS and are called Zippers.I have been in the atv/motorcycle industry for approx. 18 years and never heard of AMS. Anyone seen or used these?

Those zippers look interesting. I wonder if they are really soft like the snow tires Tory used before. The tread looks skid-steer friendly. Any ideas what they cost?

Quick search yielded $50 a tire. They are comparable with the Maxxis Snow tires that I hear do not perform that great.

I have to agree with everyone about the tried and true, but not perfect Goodyear Rawhide and Rawhide III. We know they work and work quite well for our applications. The price is reasonable also. Hate to spend $300 on something that may not work.
