  • Snow and Adair Tracks

RD are there any updates on your Adair Tracks in the deep snow? I'm looking forward for a review.

Unfortunatly there is NO deep snow this yr. They have worked fine in anything I've been through, but I doubt there has been any more than 14-16" anywhere.
It's possible that we still might get snow dumped on us this yr, but I'm not holding my breath

I would suggest that Snow Depth is a bit irrelevent, in my experience so far, as you only use the top 8" or so anyway. The 18" wide Adairs don't seem to be sinking any deeper into the snow than the 18" Supertracks. It's a little hard to compare them though when you have the tracks mounted on machines with different Gearing and HP.

Several of my latest Vids have both the machines, one on Supers and the other with the Adair's
I can link them to you if you missed them

RD i think you have proved one thing that the Adair track is at the very least on par or better than the plastic segmented design in the winter conditions ten feet of snow isnt going to make a great deal of difference agreed, the absolute bonus of the Adair design will be the all season ability to perform for those that require the added flotation and ride in the real boondocks with almost impassable swamps and bogs, for those riders this seems like the best track design on the market for all around use, thanks for the updates.N.C.T

Dan Edwards how many hours would you say your tracks have on them now?

Since your use for the Adairs are in the most extreme conditions do you see any measurable wear on the chains that string them together,or is this a concern at all, just trying to figure out the life expectancy of a set used mainly for mud use.N.C.T

NCT-My Argo Frontier was sold about a month ago. But, I will soon have a set set of Adair tracks and 22" Argo tires for my MaxIV.

My best guess is you could get 300 hours on a set of these tracks with an occasional adjustment with no major issues. Other than scuff marks the tracks still looked new when I sold my machine.

                      North Country Tough

Tim sold one set of Adair tracks to a man who uses his Argo 8x8 mainly for driving through the swamp to get to his deer lease. He has had the same chains that came on the Adair tracks since he bought them. He has only adjusted his tracks one time in a year an a half Tim told me. This man has the same generation 10 tracks that MightymaxIV has for sale. If you're going to use the Adair tracks mainly for mud use , then they should last you a very long time. I have 63 hours on my Adair tracks and they show minimal wear on the grousers. UHMW is some very durable material!

The wide ones with stronger chain and grousers.
