I wonder if you could ever find a place in ice and snow that this bad boy couldn't go.

My Max was a factory tracked machine originally so it has the bearing extensions and bearing support rail and wheel spacers. With my larger 25" tires and 18.5" wide tracks and 4" wheel spacers I still use the support bar. Adair sells a kit for the Max IV that needs none of the extra hardware and sits just a touch lower. It is a great option for you if your machine did not come equipped with all the extra support pieces and will get you farther in any terrain than the factory rubber tracks in my opinion and costs less than the factory rubber tracks.

Great video are you running extra bearings and cages or just straight tracks?

    Adair tracks in snow

Here is a video I took Christmas morning. I taped the camera to the windshield and took a 15 min ride around the property. If you have a sound system on your computer, turn it up and it will give you and idea of how the exhaust sounds and the kind of RPM the engine is turning to get me around in the snow. I had to stay out of most of the woods as the heavy snow has a lot of trees bent over and the branches like to grab and rip my top.

I am finding the snow also likes to wisp in the back and get the belt wet. Under heavy loads you can here it chrip a bit but if I back out and hit it again it seems to bite hard again. I think the isolation mounts are flexing too much also and allowing the engine stand to flex enough to cause the belt to go out of alignment. I have new mounts that Mark suggested just waiting for the next time I pull the engine to install them. Hope it shows the different type of terrain and obsticles I can cover with the Adair tracks.

    Enjoy, Keith.

I like that you were able to carry some speed with those tracks even in the snow. Nice work.

That was a great video in the snow. I am going to order my Max kit around the 15 of January. Then it's off to my brother inlaws heated garage for install. (Chomping at the bit)!!!!!!!!!

Keith, I am totally impressed that you can point that Max in any direction and move through 20 inches of snow without the slightest indication of a traction issue, very impressive indeed.

Nice video Keith, I enjoyed seeing the Max4 crashing through the snow covered brush. That looked bad.

20" of fresh snow and a video of the Max handeling it with ease.

Tried to pick a spot for the video that showed how well the Adair tracks did in rolling hills and deep virgin snow.
