Has anyone ever had to use more than one to get the required track sag under the middle tires? Any cons to doing it? My track seems too tight and I don't want to bust an axle.
If you add another spacer, you ar starting to leave a pretty good gap between wheel guides which is going to give an opportunity for the tires to roll out of the track...if you do add the extra spacer you should pick up a couple of extra wheel guides and try to mount them to the metal spacer...just my thoughts
one other thing to check is that you have the tires sized proper. the two largest ones should be in the center, and will usually vary by a few inches over the smallest two and this could have a big impact on track length if they are mounted on the machine in the wrong postition...if you are not familiar with the tire sizing proceedure it is pretty simple...
on an Argo 8x8 it is..
front tire is the SMALLEST
second tire (the ones under your feet) is the LARGEST
third tire from the front is the SECOND LARGEST
and the rear tire is the SECOND SMALLEST
on and Argo 6x6 it is..
front tire is the SMALLEST
middle tire is the NEXT SMALLEST
and the rear tire is the LARGEST
Other brands of machines have their own unique pattern depending on how their drive line is configured
