I had a chance to trail ride the Max IV with full size trucks this weekend. I fitted up the Max IV with the AquaTorques and the 3" wheel extensions to give it a wider stance. I ran the AquaTorques at 2PSI. Red spring in the driven clutch and 25HP Kohler Command Pro engine. The tire range on the trucks was 33"-41" Lots of rutted steep hills, fallen trees and loose rocks. The Max 4 did great. You could actually use the wicked lugs in the sides of ruts. Fallen trees kind of sucked because the distance between tires allowed the trees to bang back up against the body in some cases. Never got stuck in ruts and the width worked out right not to high center. Just ran the steep long hills at a slow pace and let the tires work sort of like the Adair tracks. When stopped by a rock or stump the new belt would chirp once in a while as I grabbed throttle but it always moved me forward. It was great fun but bumpy.
While I consider the tires not a great swimmer they are the toughest most durable mud, rock hill and rocky bottom creek tire I think money can buy. In deep mud they out perform my rubber factory tracks but once you start to get stuck you will go down just as fast as you were going forward and then you will learn what that winch on the front is really for.
