I was told that this is a old conveyor belt. It is 24 inches wide and 5/16 of an inch thick. Anyone use something like this before?

What do you think of this material for a track?

I think Rock Doctor has a set made from that same kind of conveyor belt, maybe he'll chime in on this.1983 Hustler 945-HK 627cc Vanguard
1982 GMC K-10 Sierra Classic Suburban 6.2 Diesel
2010 Chevy Silverado 1500
1974 Honda ATC 70

That looks very similar to the material one of my track sets is made from, but mine are 14" wide.
I'm about 140kms out in the bush right now, so I can't post a pic of mine. There are some pics already posted on another thread.
They work fine, but tire pressure is very important in reducing "chain windup" with them.
19 days out in the bush so far, I think I'll drag the family back to town tomorrow, lol.

I found the pic of your set of tracks, looks nice. I don't know what you mean by "chain windup"?? I read some discussions on it, but didn't really comprehend what the issues were. From you pics from your recent trip, it looks like your group has 8x8s. My tracks would be on a Max II, is chain windup still an issue? Where did you get the track guides from? I'm not sure if a rubber track is a good idea for my machine, but I have plenty of this material, go figure.
