  • Argo 13" or 18" Plastic Tracks in the Swamp?

I am wondering if anyone can enlighten me on the suitability of both the 13 and 18 inch tracks in swampy terrain. Obviously the 18" will provide more flotation but they will also rob more power from my 2003 Conquest. I live on James Bay in Northern Ontario which is home to the largest boreal forest/swamp in the world. I have had Argo's (4) since 1977 starting with an 8 with the 32 Hp Chapparel engine. My 1988 was on Supertracks but I only ran them in the snow. Any experience with either size would be appreciated.\
    Thanks a lot!

Have you looked at the vids with the adair tracks....they seem to be cats a$$ for swampy areas...
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

I think foxvalley ran the 13" plastic tracks on his older argo in his swamp with marginal success. He now runs Adair tracks on an Avenger HDI. You could PM him for the specifics.
