  • Ballon Tires

I have recently purchased some balloon tires that appear to be practically new but when deflated, they measure 2 to 3 inches different diameters than the ones that I have on my Attex Chief. The ones that appear to be newer still have the smaller diameter bolt hole. They are all Firestone tires which all say do not exceed 65 inches floation. are there different sizes of these tires?

All of the balloon tires that I have are all 65'' max circumference. I recall seeing a thread on here a while back that discussed this, but I can't find it for the life of me. I know that there were a couple of different balloon tires that were made for various atv companies/applications, one being the ohtus balloon tire and I think recreatives had a balloon tire at one point also (correct me if I am wrong ). These tires may have been slightly different in size, but as far as the firestones are concerned, all I have ever seen are 65''

Firestone and B F Goodrich both made 63 and 65 inch flotations and Uniroyal made 61 inch. The tires you had are most likely stretched out and the new ones aren't.
