Talk to Dan, AKA MightyMaxIV and look at some of his posts. He will certainly be able to help you out since he runs his Max IV in similar terrain."Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

If you want a big mud tire go with something that is proven. Most of the big mud tires either swim poorly or not at all. The 26" Goodyears are the best swimmers for a MaxIV but if you put them in mud they leave a lot to be desired. They also ride poorly and provide poor ground clearance since they are only 24 1/2 inches tall. I am very pleased with my set up. My water speed is reasonably good. You'll never get through the mud pits my max does with 26" Goodyears. decide what you want and need most and go from there. I can tell you that ground clearance is very important in mud and most other rough terrain. An extra inch is the difference between moving and a high center winch job. Also consider your engine. You need big power to turn big tires or you'll run out of it (power) when you need it most! By the way, if you check out some of the videos I have posted you'll find the conditions here in Savannah are very simular to yours in Florida!Originally posted by chrisivins View PostLast edited by mightymaxIV; 02-28-2008, 06:44 PM.

Outlaws swim well and are the best of mud tires, but they are wide, and will be close to your tub.(very little room between the tire and tub for mud) Outlaws break the axles on big quads all the time. What do you think they will do to your chains, motor, and drive system turning six of them? Think about it! With any big tire be ready for more chain adjustments and TLC!

VAMPIRES
I don't think that a two stroke has enough torque to turn big mud tires but I am sure it's a blast to drive. IF I WERE RUNNING A two stroke I think that I would stay with 26" goodyears and just operate within there limitation. A bigger mud tire is going to stress your clutch, your chains and your engine. Mind you I have a 27 horse water cooled engine with big axles bearings and a red spring clutch which helps to keep the motor in the sweet spot when your running through mud. Best of luck!Originally posted by chrisivins View PostYeah, I have allot to learn!! Would the vampires do well with a twin cylinder rotax 2 cycle?
