  • Need 12" wheels???

I have been searching high and low for new tires and wheels for my Hustler980. And today, I think I scored! I found 12x10.5 beadlock wheels 5 bolt x 4.5" circle with 0.5" offset. They are $25 each. So for just a bit over $200 I have new wheels coming to me. I'll post pics up when they get here.

if they are not beadlock, you should be able to weld two 1/8th inch tube or maybe 1/4th inch tube, shaped like a circle to the inside of the rim to make it beadlock. For the price of $25, its not a bad idea if it isn't a real beadlock. I mean, beadlocks just keep the tire bead positioned on the rim to ensure tire inflation, at low tire pressure. If it works, it sure beats $80, which isn't a bad price either, but hey,, we all try to find those corners to cut to save few bucks! But if that isn't such a great idea, you can always just glue the heck out of them like Dan67 does.

I was told they are an off-white color and they can be easily repainted. I'll paint mine hunter green to match the body band, bumper, and rear rack. They had about 100 in stock. They are clearance priced to move them.

I have a bunch of old 26x12x12 Goodyear Terra grip tires that I will use for now. I eventually will replace them with Vampire ASX when they come back on the market.

Dan! I'm going to order a set of 8 of these today if you tell me you approve of the product! Great value, I'm happy to glue the hell out of my rubbers to keep em locked. Been looking for a 12" wheel, seems like there are more tire options at 12". Will be following to hear your take. (PS: I assume they'll bolt right up to a '97 Conquest?)

                        Thanks

I would NOT recommend using these on a Conquest. On the Argo 8" wheel, the back plate of the rim to the outer edge of the rim is 4". On the 12" rim, from the back of the plate to the outer edge of the rim is 6-1/2". The rims would rub on the front and rear bearing extensions. These are good rims for machines taking bigger tires like my Hustler 980, a Max4, or a Super Swamp Fox, etc..

Hey Dana67 what stud size do those rims use and do they accept a tapered lug nut so they can self center? Thanks man

The rims fit on the hustler just fine. They use the tapered nuts. They are thicker then the stock rims on the center plate that bolts to the wheel hub.
