Need tranny info

This is the trans thats in a muskateer that i aquired recently. Was wondering if anyone
can tell me what kind of oil i should put in it or any other info Ishould know. Was also
wondering if it has reverse or is forward only.

Hmmmm, it looks interesting. I've never seen one before, but I'm guessing the lines are connected to hydraulic cylinders connected to the steering sticks?
I've never heard of gear oil (80-90wt) being used like that, so I'd guess ATF.....But that's just a guess. If it was mine, I'd have to tear it a part and see how it works.

The only trans.I have seen used in a Muscateer was the big mysterious BLACK BOX. The trans. you have looks like the one used in hydo model Jigers.

That appears to be the same transmission that the Newt the Bold, Trailblazer, and some others used. From what I understand, they are as tough as nails (or at least as tough as a T20) but I don't think parts are very easy to get for them anymore.

If anyone wants a working Hagen transmission, I have a complete unit along with all the controls, lines, driven clutch (set up for a 4 stroke) and every part to swap you might need to swap it into your AATV.

After reading through some old Muscateer literature I found out that the later model Muscateers used the Hagen transmission. So this is actually a factory setup you have there, it wasn't modified to fit.
