  • Clutch Alignment

I yanked my magnum 20 out and threw it in the bushes after never getting it to run properly. It ran but bogged past 1/2 throttle and backfires. Cleaned carb 6 times checked fuel pressure 2 psi. Changed plugs checked comp 100 psi. I have 4 vanguard 18 motors with various issues so i really have 2 with lots of parts. The cluth fits the vanguard but slides to far on the shaft. Im going to space it out with some washers to prevent rubbing the side of the motor. Im trying to figure out the alignment between the clutches. The center distance is self explanatory but what about offset? The engune stand looks bent down on motor side so first im going to make it flat with the frame. Anyone have some specs on aligning the clutch offset? Also my vanguards have a fuel tank mounted on them so i need a fuel pump any recomendations?

If you will use the search, there are a couple of really good threads on alignment. Here's one to get you started: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/trans...ch-offset.html
