  • BAZOO restoration/clutch difference

I am trying to restore my 1970 Bazoo, and installed a 4 stroke 15 hp engie and have no power/speed etc. Used a two-stroke clutch from and older skidoo. Is there a difference in 4 vs 2 clutches ? Previously I put in a 250cc skidoo motor and it ran quite well but was way too noisy. Any ideas would be appreciated.

The simple answer is that you should really use a different clutch for the four stroke motor. There are some more detailed posts on the topic here on the forums. If you use the search you should be able to find them. They discuss ramp angles and spring rates where some people have been successful at modifying a clutch to work but again, you would probably be better off just buying a clutch for the four stroke motor.
