  • Gates drive belts... quality stuff?

I am in need of a few spare drive belts and came across Gates. Are these of good quality? I like the price of about 30 dollars from Amazon. I don't want to spend 100 dollars for a belt I could buy for 30.
    Part mumber is PL30076.
    Argo number is 127-137
I have an Avenger. What might be a NAPA Auto number? I can't seem to find a conversion.
    Thank you.

Gates makes fine belts. The $30 price you have from Amazon is pretty good; actually a lot better than NAPA. There really isn't a conversion between Gates and the NAPA number. If you just type in, or give the Parts-man your Gates number (I typed in PL30076 in at Napaonline.com) it comes up with the NAPA-branded Gates belt. (it's actually manufactured by Gates) Here's the link...

Here in Western New York, it's coming up at about $69 at NAPA. I get most of my belts on Amazon.

EDIT:: Yikes! $88.36 at the NAPA on Second Ave in Kotzebue!

Hydromike... yup, things do cost a bit more up here, which is why I was looking at Amazon. Thank you for the responded.

Our local napa didn't have the belt in stock. I will make an order on amazon instead. Thanks for the assistance.

I got two Gates belts in yesterday, so now I have spares. I'll report back someday when I get a chance to use one.
