Need to replace lower plunger o rings in t-20.do I need to remove primary clutch & disc brake ect? forum said it would help to lay on right side to keep parts from falling out.would this mean the disc brake side? Thanks!

You do not need to remove the secondary (driven) clutch to open the tranny, it actually will work as a nice stand while you work on it. Unfortunately, you will need to remove some of the drums to get at the lower plunger (the one that typically leaks) because the O-rings need to be installed from inside the case. If you try to replace them by pulling the plunger outside the case, they will get pinched and rip when you try to push the plungers back in.

It's not too bad in there though.

    Check it out.

I know that George simply typed that backwards but just for clarification, the plungers will need to be pulled outside the case to install the orings. If you install them inside the case, that's when they get pinched/ripped. His video shows it correctly as does the how-to article in our how-to section.

Stood the trans up on secondary clutch and pulled apart but the brake drums pulled out of the case and stayed on the center plate, if the is no alignment I hope it goes back togeather like in the video. Thanks!

That won't be a problem. There isn't any particular orientation of the gears. Just keep the two drums together and remove them from the center plate. If you let the drums come apart, the spider gears can fall off and start to loose needle bearings which are a pain to clean and put back together.
