I have a maxx 2 and would like to change my spring to a red one, this should give me more low end torque correct ? Is there a video on this. Iam sure the spring has a lot of pressure on it. What do these run price wise. Thx

hi ,
The biggest change is by first changing the angle of the helix.
Then carry out spring change
The red spring will hold u in a lower gear longer .
Eg slower up change
and quicker down change
Although this is noticeable the characteristics are far better for mud bogging and loose sand etc
Also due to the system being sensitive to down change top speed is not achieved till there is litte resistance to moving eg hard surface.

hi
Unless u have a most difficult bog situation that is near impossible I would stick with the factory secondary clutch angle and first change the spring .The clutch setups are set to follow torque characteristics of engine considering the applied load eg vehicle weight, power and operator requirements .
Primary and secondary clutches are in part to have the correct gear change for the application
There are situations where change of overall gearing may be required and/or increase in engine torque/hp
I donot no if the trans has to be pulled for the secondary to be removed in a max 11
All the clutch info I learnt was from setting up my SSFox eg wrong clutches old first gen 770secondary with a very very fast changing 41 or 45 degree ramp previous owner install agh agh , new clutch late model 770 28 degree ramp with a red spring then tested on beach sand gear change fine but needed more absolute bottom end changed overall gearing 4 teeth ............sweet now .
