Transmission Lube Frontier Argo

My Frontier Argos manual calls for 80 W 90 Gear Lube HYPOY-C. It is not available here in Fairbanks, I have checked everywhere. The nearest Argo dealer is in Anchorage a 7 hour drive. I am considering using Maxima Premium Gear Oil 80W90. What are your ideas on this?

hi ,
it does not matter the brand .
First use the appropriate grade eg 80/90
Second use an EP [extreme pressure ] version [has extra additives for hypoid differential eg auto motive ]
Non EP is for straight cut gears etc but using a EP version gives a little more protection
