My Max IV is slipping out of gear on one side when in forward only. It's always the same side and only in forward??? I thought it was the tension on the shift adjuster but that seems to be fine.
We've had a similar issue with the T20 in one of the Attex machines. How does the shift pin look on the diamond shifter? If pin is ok then next I'd try changing the shift collar spring.
If it is not in the shifter rod mechanism, pull your diamond shifter and look at the dowel pin for a flat spot. If that is good also, it must be worn teeth on the inside of the t-20
Ok, I'll check it out thanks for the help. I did have the T-20 apart before and it looked fine. It was popping out of gear when under load which sucked. I really do love the Max IV after I figured out how to run it appropriately. I'm amazed at its performance in the muskeg. Everything that I would go around with my honda quad I run right through. I even look for the worst spots and float it when the hole gets deep.
