  • Borg Warner t20 clutch spring

I have a 94 max ii with a 18 horse vanguard. Anyways I let a buddy get on it and he snatched one of the sticks like an idiot and unwound the clutch spring on the tranny. Is this common and is it a simple fix also what spring does what color wise?

I'm having trouble comprehending what happened. It sounds like your secondary came apart, but it should have nothing to do with jerking the sticks. Did the c-clip pop out, the rivets give way, or buttons pop off. I'm guessing your buttons are gone. The red spring would be a nice upgrade.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

So somehow the piece against the tranny looks to have spun on the shaft

The c - clip that holds it together is missing. You need to pull the transmission to pull the clutch and press it back together.

You should also replace the guides and spring and probably the cam.or pick up a new one.
