I had the same problem with my t-20. Take a punch and put it through the bolt hole and hit the center plate. There should be an edge inside the bolt hole where there not lined up perfectly.

What's the problem with the T20 Dan? If it's the one in the Hustler, wasn't that one just refreshed in the 950 just before you bought it? If the bolts are out of the transmission halves, it's just friction holding it together.

Yes it is, my bad luck this past busco, left side bearing failed on last ride day. Sometimes crap just happens and you fix it. I actually just was able to get it separated. It was stuck like nobody's business. While I am at it might go ahead and get bands relined.

It was really frustrating me. Took a break and got it done. I'll repair it myself, not gonna learn anything if someone else does it. Besides if I really screw something up, you guys are here to answer a question and set me in the right direction.

Just cleaned and inspected the right side. actually pleasantly surprised, bands look to be in good shape. drums are clean except for a small area looks like band material built up on drum. think i will get lucky and just need to do a seal kit in addition the 1 case bearing on the left. crossing fingers..
