I'm new here guys so hang with me. I have what i believe is a 71 ridge runner in mint condition. I traded a club car for it on CL. Best find ever, I know.
In transit both the hoses for the steering pistons fell of due to being old and crusty. I replaced those with correct ID tranny hose.
My problem was (I've sort of fixed the issue) how do you properly bleed the lines that engage the piston / clutch puck.
I drilled the rivets on the steering column and pulled it out, took a bottle of type f with a feeder line and cracked the bleeder up top. Then pumped the lines and cracked the bottom making sure the (what I believe is the filler on the top) was full at all times. I now have forward and reverse movement and drove down the street and back.
edit: Also what is the max fill on the hagen. Ive read 1 QT type A trans fluid. Would atf be better?
