    We have used the machine for 2 years since there was no fluid in the tranny with no problems. Probably would wear the bands quicker than usual but we are still using it now with no probelm. And also. When you say that you put a quart in, did you pull the bottom drain plug on the tranny that is also used as the fill level line. Because you really don't want to overfill the tranny at the same time. But if you did that all correct try adding the friction modifier. I and others have used Trans-x friction modifier that is easily found at your local parts store. (advanced auto parts, autozone, Napa etc.)

      My Max IV acted like that when I bought it. A short ride with the friction modifier cured it.

        When I first got my max 2 it was jumpy bad, did fluid change with friction modifier and it smoothed right out.. I get it at advanced auto. Norm

          Havent been on in a week or so to post my update. But after draining as much ATF out as possible and pouring new in with no modifier and a quick band adjustment my problems have been solved. Just so that everyone knows
