took all the teeth off the input shaft on my 4 stroke (1978)trans. so looking for a trans,my parts manual lists 2 or3 different teeth count for various gears so i assume a 2 stroke tranny would be much(alot) slower??anyone know for sure??

its done.replaced the modelGSS trans. with a model H.seems a bit slower(seat of the pants) but it can be used again
.the model h trans is from a 2 stroke 440 kohler.i used the 4 stroke driven clutchif i can get all the parts i will be rebuilding the orig . trans. and then starting my next project.fixing the motor in the 2 stroke i orig. bought for parts

Nice! sure hope mine is back in business in a reasonable amount of time. The bears are waking up and I need to be in the woods!It's not a matter of life or death. It's much more important than that!
