Hi guys. I have a larger diameter secondary clutch than the factory one that came with the Max Iv. Is there any benefit to using this over the factory one? I would assume more top end speed, bit not sure how that works with the internal gearing in the T20. Thanks.

Thanks John. So if I use my stock belt on the larger clutch would I get the same performance as the factory size? Reason I am asking is I am having issues with my factory clutch and had this one as a spare. I don't want to go slower.Famous last words: I swear honey... I am just going to change the tranny fluid. I won't tear this one apart...

The larger clutch will probably have different characteristics as far as the shiftout dynamics, which may or may not be a problem, but I am going to ignore this.
We know that the drive pulley at full shift will hold the stock belt at a specific pulley diameter and given the constant belt dimensions the driven will be forced to the same diameter as before so your speed and torque at full shift out will be the same.
Your problem is going to be that the belt is too short so it probably won't disengage the drive pulley; you'll always be "in gear". This will be by holding the belt against the shaft rather than pinching between the sheaves so it will probably burn up the belt too. Moving the pulleys closer together has the same effect as getting a longer belt.
I would rebuild the factory clutch and/or throw a post in the Wanted forum. There might even be someone that will trade you for the larger driven pulley.

Measure the centre to centre distance of the two clutches installed now.
With that information we can get an approximation of correct belt length for larger diameter clutch.
You likely would lose a 1-3 mph Top speed but the bottom end would be very improved for slow speed maneuvering.
It mostly would depend on what you want from the machine, how you use it and where you use it.
I went from a craptastic 8.5" diameter SPEED clutch to a real TORQUE clutch about 10" diameter and I'm faster and slower and man did it improve my machines performance immensly, primarily due to change in clutch type..SPEED vs TORQUE.
There is no doubt you have a torque clutch so don't worry about that, just get us some dimensions and perhaps we can offer some suggestions on belt length and what gearing would become.

Thanks for all the help guys. With a little assistance of a 5 ton 3 jaw puller the clutch came apart fairly seemlessly. I used white out to mark both sides of the spring locations. I am going to clean everything and reinstall.Famous last words: I swear honey... I am just going to change the tranny fluid. I won't tear this one apart...
