  • Broken shift pin removal!!!

    Best ways to get that broken pin out??? Too hard to drill!! I need your guys advice again!! Thanks in advance!!

    If it's below the surface of the lever I replace the lever and drill the other side making it a lever for the opposite side. If it's flush or sticking up any they can be pulled by welding a threaded piece to the pin. I put a thin washer drilled out to 1/4" over the pin so it dosent weld to the lever. After welding a stud to the pin you need to heat the lever until pin is anealed and no longer brittle. Dull red is usually ok. Use threads on stud to pull the pin. If you try to pull the pins without heat they usually break off just below the surface. It's s lot of work to save a lever and I usually do them when I get a bunch with worn pins to do all at the same time. Good luck. How was the shift collar ?

      Shift collar appears to be fine,!!! Thanks for your input!! Will give that a shot. Was thinking bout drilling from top down and see if I could push pin out that way!!!

        You can do that and weld up hole. Most are very tight good luck and have a merry Christmas
