Havent been on in quite a while but was needing info.
What is the gear ratio based on. Is the transmission just strictly 1:1 for forward reverse and then combination of clutch and main trans sprocket determine gear output ratio.

T-20s have a 6.25:1 ratio, meaning 6.25 revolutions of the input shaft is equal to 1 revolution of the output shaft. This is true in both forward and reverse. You can adjust final gearing by changing the output sprocket on the T-20, changing the first sprocket in the drive system on the axle (in the case of your ST/295) or changing the size of the clutch on your transmission. Lots of folks have gone with bigger and small sprockets on both the transmission output and the drive sprocket on the axles to get things geared appropriately for their specific use.
